Miller Hall, Waynesburg University

We were retained in the spring of 1998 to oversee the exterior restoration of Miller Hall, the administrative building and cultural center of Waynesburg University. This Second Empire structure, placed on the National Register of Historic Places, was built between 1879 and 1899 and served as the original campus for the college. The project focused on restoration of the masonry. The scope of work included stabilizing the stone foundation, replacing damaged brick, and raking and pointing all mortar joints. The scope of work also included painting all wood window frames, sashes and trim, and installing protective storm windows on all decorative stained glass windows.
